Yes but it’s an overused metric by so many chains that never come close to having to need that speed. Uptime and cost of transactions are more prescient issues imo.

TPS is a vanity metric imo though. If only we had a standardised method to measure it across all blockchains. I also find it amusing when some people aggregate throughput from ETH L2s and argue that Ethereum has scaled..
