Most “Web3 job advice” is useless.
Here’s the playbook that actually gets you hired (even if you’re starting from zero).
Rule #1: Stop playing the numbers game.
“Click apply” is high volume, low signal, and AI made it worse.
Your goal isn’t more applications. It’s more signal.
Web3 teams are smaller + community-driven.
They hire belief:
Do you get the mission? Did you do the homework? Can you talk like an owner?
Forget the “perfect cover letter.” Everyone can generate that now.
Do this instead:
Find 1 real problem → send 1 useful fix
Examples: website teardown, sales angle, product idea, GitHub PR, UX notes.
Pick 3 things you want them to remember (ex: proactive, high output, easy to work with).
Every answer should reinforce one pillar with a real story.
The unfair advantage is simple:
Show up where they are (DMs, Discord, events), add value first, follow up like a pro.
