Stayed up last night and colour graded 10 videos. Ready to be lazy and sleep the entire day today 💀

Yes! It’s the absolute best. My MacBook is struggling these days though with anything more than 5 nodes.

you've just mentioned the scary word for me. nodes. haha i've been thinking of a switch for a long time, so might do it now. do you also cut and create the whole timeline on davinci or bring the videos from somewhere else?

I’ve used premiere pro only a few times and it was really scary and made the switch when I started shooting more aerial videos. Found davinci to be way more user friendly (and I hate paying for subscriptions). Davinci is usually my starting point coz I find the DLog conversion to Rec709 the best there. I don’t create elaborate movie type videos with lots of cuts and timelines. Mostly they are simple ones for say Instagram reels. I edit the whole video on davinci just trimming out the unwanted stuff and then edit the timeline on phone as I post (to sync with the music). For commercial ones where i have to add music and make many transitions all done fully in davinci.

+1 on hating subs. reason why i use final cut pro (one time payment) or would go for davinci. got it. i need to try it out. i’m starting a project (filmed, going for editing now) and might give it a go. thanks man!
