have you ever filed a patent for anything you invented? Is it worth it? weird when my natural route would be to FOSS, but at the same time, one has to be smart about this shit.

Imo if it’s the process and the production specifications that you want to protect then patenting would be a good idea. But it’s a double edged sword because when u patent something it does get more eyes on ur idea/ process. If you think that people won’t be able to figure out how to copy ur process then you can maybe deprioritise that a bit lol

i think my process is obvious and would like to also publish research and open-core FOSS part of it its just more about protecting myself from aws or googke or ms copying it and outcompeting / outmarketing me food for thought i guess. as you say another choice is to say nothing and just sell a better product and let them guess but idk it will be obvious when using it why it works/ easy enough for someone to reverse engineer the architecture

Hmmm I get you. I read in the thread that youre based in Spain (I think) so I doubt my thoughts on the SA patent industry would be helpful lol. But it sounds like you have something cool cooking, all the best 🫡
