Drones changed everything... I served 8 years in the US Marines and have gone to war. I knew that drones would play a bigger role later in modern warfare. However, one thing I didn't imagine is it would level the playing field so much. You can now have a multi-million dollar jet blasted to pieces by a drone that cost a fraction of that. Now, having a large defense spend is more irrelevant. Your enemy can get creative and dominate with low-cost tactical drones. Let's just pray for peace ๐ Why do we keep having to learn the lesson over and over again? That we are much more similar than different. We waste so much on how to kill each other more efficiently... Tragic

That operation was the true paradigm shift for all militant organizations to look at. Machines only actually creates even more dehumanization. The collateral is much less when you can look your "enemy" in the eye and make the decision to take life or not. As horrible as war is, it's better to fight in close quarters than with maximum efficiency. Because we get all the visceral warning signs that accompany every aspect of conflict that leads to killing.
