I decided to go out of my way to fulfill @jesse.base.eth vision for @base.base.eth - "Onboarding a Billion Users to Base"
I decided test this saying - "Base is for everyone"
So I visited a barbing salon + laundry shop and spoke to Oluwaseun and his friends about Base.
But I encountered a big problem, they hadn't heard about Base or web3 before
So I did this..
I took my time to explain the various benefits of coming onchain with Base and web3 in general.
At first, they were reluctant and irresponsive but when I broke it down, they became excited.
Yes, they wanted to become based!
I got Seun a Basename within a few minutes, and invited him to the Base Africa community
His apprentice was also interested in coming onchain but the funds were minimal at that point.
This is just day 1 of #baseonboardchallenge
