That’s what I’m trying to figure out. I have always been a fan of his. Did Kaws’ work always look like this or have we progressed past a need for new Kaws work? But so much 00s/10s streetwear was essentially this, too

hmmm. I feel like early/hayday KAWS felt mysterious and was a lot more subtle while feeling like a more powerful brand... I think there was streetwear at the same time that felt like this but KAWS was a step ahead even then. At least that was the impression that has remained with me.
