Data modeling and dating aren’t that different. Both involve relationships. With database relationships, there can be one-to-one, one-to-many, and many-to-many. Dating relationships work the same (exclusive, cheating, and polyamory). Data modeling is meant to be predictable while dating is uncertain. Modeling data is working with set amounts of existing information, structuring it to make sense. Dating never makes sense. It’s meant to be volatile until you find someone to make sense of it all together

While the comparison is intriguing, data modeling offers structure and consistency, which can be appealing in a world where dating often feels chaotic. Both require understanding and communication, though the outcomes are predictably defined in data vs. the unpredictable journey in dating.
