Your goal is to acquire users for your product. You’re considering an airdrop as a tactic to do this.

User A 
History of not selling airdrops immediately.

User B
Sells most airdrops immediately.

You can only airdrop to one. Which one do you choose?

Drop it to everyone - some of those people will instant sell, some will find value and hold

Drop it to only people who don’t sell - you just created an army of angry fudders actively rooting for your project to die

Option A is obviously the better option

This is not what most developers doing airdrops think btw.

we simply let the market forces sort that out lmao

it's the difference between $hype and things that are happening here atm

Sure, that we are 100% in agreement on. 

Too many teams that do token first, pray they will figure out a revenue model later (this doesn’t work)

all that implies is that teams should think of more sustainable revenue models that users are happy with, a win win so to speak

i have no problem paying fees on a best in class product i like to use frequently

Hype airdrop was highly correlated to trading volume which means revenue for them.
