Don't love that he named it Trump savings accounts - but that's Trump for you. That being said, I'm a fan of baby bonds. 

Will be interesting to see the opposition to this bipartisan policy.

Yeah I mean whoever is giving my baby free money I accept the name, whether it’s Biden bonds or Trump savings it’s a good thing lmao

No individual stocks are allowed in the account.

You also have to pay capital gains tax on growth when you withdraw.

There are also specific categories you can spend money on (education, first time homebuyer)

Would prefer it was a bigger infusion out the gate from the public investment

Limit it to us corp that onshore profits and pay their taxes.  

Raise corp taxes up a bit to offset - say another 4 percent to 25 percent.

and maybe make it no cap gains a la a ROTH

This is a great idea and I'm not against it,

 but how exactly is this not a redistribution of taxpayer money to corporate America via creating artificial demand to raise stock prices that benefits the wealthy more than those it's meant to directly benefit?

Had to read about the MAGA account vs 529. Not super enticing in a post SECURE 2.0 world
