How are these tariffs going to make anything fair for US workers who are already laid off? Or fair to people that have lost chunks of their retirement? Anyone with a rudimentary understanding of Economics knows that the current downturn in the market is 100% caused by Tariffs. It isn’t temporary pain either, it’s a fucking trade war and it’s bad for normal working people. Maybe read the opinion of any economist, conservative or otherwise. Your talk of buying this dip is pure copium. Your president is a fucking moron who is making global markets plummet. The only way people come out richer on the other side is if Trump decides to listen to nearly every economist in the US and reverses course. Even then, our relationships with trading partners are permanently damaged. Trump is so dumb he imposed tariffs on an uninhabited island. He’s just winging it, and pretending to be good at business as usual. I’d encourage you to research the Smoot Hawley tariffs and what impact they had on the Great Depression.
