Oh man. I mean those aren't mistakes, they're blunders. And easily avoidable blunders. I've got several friends who do just this kind of forensics work.

It's really embarrassing for the government.

Correct. The "Recovery Firm" that told her it went through Tornado were scammers themselves under investigation by the FBI. And the DOJ had an IRS agent who wasn't previously disclosed to testify to tracing those amounts and didn't know the difference between an ERC-20 token and ETH testify to clean up the "tracing" using bullshit. It's all bad news.
