Bitcoin DeFi platform Alex Protocol got hacked on June 6. Around $8.3M was stolen, including STX, sBTC, USDC, and WBTC. The team blamed a flaw in self-listing verification logic. They’ll fully repay users in USDC via a structured claims process. This follows a $4.3M bridge exploit in May 2024.
