F me dude. I’ve had a minor rupture as well as calf tear in the same leg. Been dealing with it for 10 years now. You have to be diligent with pt, I was not. You have to repair and maintain the tendon in the direction of its contraction, lots of calf raises with a slow eccentric. Stairs, machines, whatever.

Sorry to hear that it's still a bother 10 years later. Did you or do you get therapeutic massages to help it? I did it once midway through recovery. Wish I made it a regular thing. Maybe I will again to help with the scar tissue.

I’ve tried everything on my Achilles and calf problems (not sure of chicken vs egg here). Massage, scraping, ems, dry needling, stretching, pt. After all that I really think my complete movement of the leg from hip to toes needs management and affects it. Hip mobility, knee, ankle… Isolated things did little
