Not a thick patty fan personally - but it looks pretty good.  The caramelized bit of cheese 👌

I would agree most of the time - smash burgers are great. However, wagyu don’t hold up very well when made too thin. There’s just too much fat. Benefit of a fat patty, it’s damn hard to overcook, while also giving it ample time to develop a sexy crust.
