it’s truly incredible to see how disconnected the zohran haters are from the culture please step down from your ivory tower and talk to normal people

that’s a prospective perspective, but I checked the list and not a single signer from a top 10 economics department? (Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Cal, Chicago, Princeton, Yale, Northwestern, Columbia, Penn). I do want to have a constructive dialogue - whichof his policy proposals are you most excited about? https://progressive.international/wire/2025-06-19-economists-unite-in-support-of-zohran-mamdanis-plan-for-new-york-city/en/ l

an excerpt from the article i presented: “Mamdani’s prioritization of free buses builds on the success already demonstrated by the fare-free bus pilot program on five lines in each borough of New York City. Eliminating fares was shown to increase bus ridership by more than 30 percent, markedly reduce violence against bus drivers, and provide real economic relief for low-income New Yorkers. The data from the pilot confirm that the fare-free bus model works and Mamdani’s proposal to expand it citywide makes clear fiscal sense.”
