The AI angle for Decentralized Storage is underrated!
This is the part that interests me most.
Everyone talks about AI compute.
Very few talk about AI data.
Models need enormous amounts of:
- images
- video
- audio
- text
- embeddings
- checkpoints
- synthetic datasets
Those assets need to live somewhere.
If AI becomes as important as we expect, data infrastructure becomes just as strategic as compute infrastructure.
That could become a major tailwind for decentralized storage.
The challenge isn't technology
This is where I think many crypto projects went wrong.
Most people don't wake up wanting decentralized storage.
They wake up wanting:
- cheaper storage
- reliable backups
- faster access
- compliance
- durability
Nobody bought AWS because it was "centralized."
They bought outcomes.
Filecoin and other projects have to sell outcomes too.
What do you see as well-focused narratives in decentralized storage?
