Tell me why this is a dumb question - even just strategically, why commit to the US specifically bombing Iran? What’s the advantage of the US explicitly doing it instead of just letting Israel do it and giving them stuff they need?

Create chaos, fatigue the population and then install a totalitarian surveillance state. Or, iran less likely to retaliate knowing us is in it with israel
