New post: The invisible impact of everyday community The longer I work among online and offline communities, the more I think about communities as less like a dessert, and more like taking vitamins. Community-building takes long-term, consistent impact to nudge things along. Focusing too much on short-term vanity metrics will not only discourage you from progress but also distract you from this end objective.
