Yep, I also think onchain stuff opens a whole new set of options for reporters. Like incorporating onchain analytics into financial reporting, etc.

Yeah my biggest wish is that J-schools just lean into that energy for the new era. Make today’s journalism students the prompt engineering designers for the GPT models that will power the next wave of news.

I graduated from J-school in 2010, so also during the "tough time for journalists" phase. I have a bunch of funny stories about veteran journalists coming to visit or giving guest lectures and basically saying the same thing about the state of the profession... and it wasn't good. Also agree that the toolset is valuable and can be widely applied beyond working in a newsroom.
