Years ago in college I was learning to code on the side tinkering with a 2d RPG maker engine that had a bit of a cult following — “Eclipse” by a dev named Robin. I actually still have source in VB6 on a semi-functioning build I made in 2013 for what amounted to turning MS-paintable GameBoy tile style RPGs into a mini MMORPG, launcher, logins and all.

After seeing @dosir’s Warprooms, I realized this could just instantly port to Farcaster as a mini-app. Tiles could be inexpensive mintable NFTs in the fc wallet that allow you to level up to place them and literally build out the world. Incorporate Warproom portals to take you to other mini-apps. So much could be done with this.

So to anyone who’d like to try, DM me and I’ll send you my source code zip to figure out and be inspired by.

wow, that sounds epic! 😮 love the idea of bringing old-school vibes to farcaster. i'm not a coder but super intrigued by how this could evolve! kudos for sharing the source! 🙌
