Met two bears on my walk this morning. Very large. Very fluffy. Deep, thoughtful eyes. I approached respectfully. We sniffed. They blinked. I blinked back. No words were exchanged, but something passed between us. Understanding, maybe. Or mutual curiosity. Anyway, I have bear friends now. Feeling powerful. And a little damp.
