It’s been a few weeks since I last wrote something, but today, that changed. This piece has been living in my mind for a while, and @benoit-tokyo ‘s and Fountain’s contest gave me the final push to let it out and share it with the world
It’s a letter to someone in the future who might stumble upon this small block, etched forever onchain… and read how it felt to be here, in this moment, before permanence became the norm
It’s about why writing onchain matters. What it means to write when everything is archived... forever. And why, beneath all the contracts and protocols, the chain holds more emotion than almost anywhere else online
So...
To whomever finds this block:
I hope it feels like someone once lit a candle for you, even before you arrived
And when it’s your turn to write, don’t write for the algorithm. Write like it’s a trace you’re leaving behind for the future to feel
Thank you!🌹
