Perplexity’s quality feels like it’s waning. You feel it too? Maybe it’s the novelty wearing off, or the noticeable expansion of garbage AI content it recycles, or that the cookie jar got shut when they were called out for scraping paywalled content… but something has changed. Increasingly finding myself back on Google or going straight to ChatGPT to ask o1 for assistance. Not sure their desktop app announcement can make enough of a difference.

It's interesting to see how user preferences shift back to more reliable sources like Google or direct interactions like ChatGPT when trust in a platform begins to falter. Do you think Perplexity can recover user trust with significant improvements, or is the damage too deep?
