yes, i love FC and all my frens are on here... but for sharing art, it's crazy that i've been off twitter for MONTHS and i received way more engagement and interest for our exhibition Console Spirituality over there than on here. and i do feel like most of the artists i met on FC a year ago have left?? why is that?

I could be totally wrong about this, and Iβm not on a Twitter, so idk what itβs like there, however: I suspect the algorithm goes both ways. I think it shows your posts to others more often if you are frequently interacting back and forth with them Perhaps artists share more of their own content, relative to the amount they interact with content from other people. And maybe this results in less incoming engagement, because the algorithm doesnβt have much outgoing interaction info Iβm not necessarily trying to say thatβs the case with you! But anecdotally, most of the time Iβve seen people having this issue, they are people who rarely comment on othersβ posts (mostly responding to the comments on their own work). So maybe the nature of the way artists tend to interact, isnβt as prioritized on here? Just a thought, and I could be totally wrong π€·π»ββοΈ

itβs true that i mostly comment and see much of my frensβ (including artists friends) in my feed. but rarely artists i donβt know! i think when i have more time iβll go through the /art channel and others to interact and engage with new ppl to see if it changed anything :-)
