if you've been reading BLOG by LAN Party for a while, you'll notice we often reference 'Technocapitalism' and 'Accelerationism', which we sometimes (probably erroneously, though it works most of the time) use interchangeably.

ah great to hear that!! curious to hear your thoughts on where you stand with accelerationism if you’re comfortable sharing.

a caveat: Jesse’s project, ‘Reality Studies’ is definitely not apolitical. he’s vocally anti-Trump/MAGA and therefore anti-right-accelerationist, though his thoughts on left accelerationism seem more nuanced (i’m personally still sort of against it, even if it’s ‘left-coded’)

I have been last week at a conference called AI and Humanity and a person ( one of the wisest people I have ever met, a person that was involved in this tech world since the dawn of the internet - before it ) talked about accelerationism and why and what is it actually happening - mostly talked about the things going on at a global level ( what trump,musk, Pieter Thiel and others want to achieve through it ) and it’s been mind-blowing. I am thinking about this idea since then
