I didn’t realize I had aphantasia until a few years ago. 

In fact, I didn’t even know it was a thing. I assumed everyone was like me.

I have vivid dreams and can describe objects visually, but when I close my eyes I see nothing. Darkness.

No, not at all.

Most people can visualize images with their eyes closed. This isn’t the same as remembering the exact details of an object.

Scratching my head on this one.
