google keynote is the bull case why brand is one of the few moats left for your business if it’s this easy for your competitor to catch up on a technical level then you need to crush them in an area that can’t be replicated: your take on the world. customers gravitate towards thing that emotionally resonate, not a list of features get to the core of your worldview, and amplify it

agreee. honestly wish Apple did more IRL stuff for this reason; they set the standard with keynotes and WWDC. only thing else that comes to mind that has such a distinct brand / worldview is Tesla. was surprised (pleasantly) to see Airbnb do an IRL announcement with their new feature. oh and World, too!

I agree. I also think it’s no use trying to build products in hopes it’s going to scale and change habits, especially with how fast things move. Just get traction and build rep. It’s always been about brand, it’s just way more evident as moats become non existent Hopefully it’s a good thing
