If Web3 could fix one flaw in global trade, what’d it be, and why’s it a dealbreaker? Web3 could fix the lack of transparency in global trade, particularly in supply chains. Opaque systems breed inefficiency, fraud, and distrust—middlemen skim profits, counterfeit goods slip through, and disputes drag on due to unverifiable data. A decentralized ledger could track every step of a product's journey, from raw materials to delivery, immutably and in real-time. This would cut costs, reduce fraud, and build trust among parties who don’t naturally trust each other. It’s a dealbreaker because opacity inflates prices, delays goods, and undermines fair trade—issues that ripple across economies. Blockchain’s ability to enforce accountability without centralized control makes it a game-changer.
