🔴⚫ Simeone Reacts to 0–4 Defeat to PSG: “We Lacked Confidence and Control”
Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone addressed the media following his team’s heavy 0–4 loss to PSG in the Club World Cup group stage.

“It felt like two completely different games in each half,” Simeone told AS.
“They were stronger in the first half — not so much in terms of chances, but in terms of control. They dictated the rhythm and punished us on the counter after Griezmann’s shot nearly leveled the game.”

The Argentine coach pointed to a lack of ball possession, composure, and confidence as key reasons for the defeat.

“When the other team presses well and doesn’t let you breathe or advance, it becomes extremely difficult. We couldn’t impose our game.”

Despite the painful scoreline, Simeone remains optimistic:

“0–4 is tough to swallow, but it’s still in our hands.”
