We proposed shortening the slot time of Ethereum from 12 seconds to 6 seconds as a headliner feature for Glamsterdam (scheduled for 2026, hopefully H1). This feature has many benefits for apps and users, and it would be great to hear from developers how valuable it is to them.

I presented “What we want from our nodes” at Protocol Berg yesterday, a talk discussing what we are optimising for and how the shapes of our nodes will evolve with new tech. Find the slides here:

Talk (crosschain) UX to me! We’re looking to identify, build and support pragmatic solutions to fix some of the most common user problems on Ethereum, with an amplified focus and the means to deliver.
Each goal has clear leads, ensuring the EF’s resources are allocated towards maximal impact. - Scale L1: @ansgar.eth & me - Scale L2: @fradamt & @ralexstokes - Improve UX: @rudolf & @barnabe To top it off, @dankrad will set strategy alongside each of us!

Defining hardware requirements for Ethereum entities is important because it parametrizes what we mean by decentralization, enables informed decision making about protocol upgrades and allows for meaningful benchmark comparisons. We have been gathering feedback on the current…

A validator can bind another validator by producing an inclusion list. But what if the means of IL production were decentralised to the whole network of ETH holders? 🌈

Light-delegated, committee-based, potential-incentivised, anonymous mixed spot+unconditional/forward+conditional cumulative inclusion lists… Should it surprise anyone that it feels like there are as many ways to design ILs as there are blockchain designs?

Excited to release this post by @seiryu and myself :) We're long past the days of a single block producer including users in their block directly (see the whole MEV convo), so it is natural to update our fee market models to account for block co-creation patterns such as ERC-4337. Read on for more!
I'm excited to share my first post on EthResearch with @barnabe. The post "Embedded Fee Markets and ERC-4337" is part of the research on ROP-7. Check out the research! https://ethresear.ch/t/embe...

hi! stoked to share ~Subsequent Soliloquy~, a methods-forward issuance article that, from scratch, builds the plot on the right (↓). issuance discourse is jargon-laden, so i tried hard to use the intuition that helped me understand these curves. 👾🖍️📐 ⟿ https://notes.ethereum.org/@mikeneuder/subsol
