This is the real thing, a masterpiece of ancient engineering: the Segovia Aqueduct, built under Emperor Trajan, around 98–117 AD.
Nearly 730 meters long, with 165 stone arches over 9 meters high each, this giant structure has stood for more than 1,900 years. Notably, the entire structure was assembled from about 24,000 blocks of dark gray Guadarrama granite, without using any adhesives.
With only stone and absolute precision, the Romans created an eternal structure between heaven and earth, a powerful testament to the longevity of human technology and intelligence. 0 reply
