Increasingly likely we see a civil war and a break up into multiple nations of the USA in our lifetime. Collapsing empires have a tendency to splinter further and further. It will only exacerbate as the dollar becomes worthless (or at least worth less). It's not what I want and not what I hope for, but the odds keep increasing the more divided we get. We're on the "divided we fall" phase of the motto, sadly.
