Anyone have tips to get my 4 year old who’s a hardcore thumb sucker (but only when parents aren’t present) to kick the habit? We’ve tried prizes, we’ve tried the gross stuff on her nail, we’ve tried explaining orthodontics — nothing works

From my pediatrician dad & therapist mom….dont do anything. If you see them doing it try to hand them something w/o saying anything about. Give lest attention for itcause less anxiety. If it doesn’t work, they’ll stop when they go to school and other kids say stuff. Dad says they almost always grow out of it by 5
