Are we headed toward an internet of zombies (IoZ)? One in which virtually all of Web2 content is of the circular, zero-calorie, Gen-AI kind; where only hordes of clueless humans keep roaming those sterile digital scapes; and the bloodied survivors shelter in isolated Web3 pockets of civilization with Sybil shields up?

Sounds like an industry that’s ripe for disruption Walled gardens with low effort content can’t remain the standard for much longer There’s a serious opportunity where consumers want web2-like platforms but with better incentives baked in Bull case for web3 is to start with cozy corners and expand outward

Bear case is people just want AI content as it improves almost exponentially and authenticity is no longer as valuable on the internet I have a hard time believing that’s the case, but this “content at all costs” mindset seems more normalized on social platforms in the past few years than ever before
