Texas Flood Death Toll Rises to 80, Children Still Missing At least 80 people have died after the powerful flash floods hit central Texas early Friday. That includes 28 children in Kerr County. Officials say 10 girls and one camp counselor from Camp Mystic are still missing. Flood Danger Not Over, Governor Greg Abbott said more heavy rain is coming, and some areas including the town of Hunt in Kerr County may flood again. People there were told to move to higher ground today. Missed Warnings? Officials in Kerr County had once talked about installing flood warning sirens, but never did. Even though the National Weather Service sent alerts before the storm, some are now asking if the agency had enough staff and tools to reach everyone in time. The Search Continues, Rescue crews are still going up and down the Guadalupe River to find those who are missing. Officials say this is still a search and rescue mission not a recovery effort yet. Texas remains on alert as more rain is expected this weekend.
