we lost our cat boncuk today. I’m heartbroken.

she was 10 years old, my beautiful girl. we took her in after she gave birth outside, we just couldn’t leave her there. it was obvious someone had abandoned her, she was trained, gentle and loved to be around people. she later started living with her black kitten (kara) and the two became inseparable.

boncuk was delicate. she wouldn’t eat just anything. she was soft, proud and full of grace. she would always sleep on my clothes.

one of the hardest truths of life is death. and yet we live as if it will never come.

sometimes I don’t know what we’re living for. but if someone you love is still by your side, hug them again. spend a little more time with them.

because maybe - just maybe - that was your last moment together.
