Freelancers are expected to deliver high-quality work, often under tight deadlines.

But after the work is done, clients sometimes disappear—or payments are delayed for weeks.

2: Cross-border payment restrictions 

Many freelancers can't access jobs from other countries due to banking restrictions.

Even when they can, currency conversion fees and delays eat into their earnings.

Work is global, so why isn't payment?

3: Miscommunication 

A lot of projects start without a clear agreement on scope or deliverables.

This leads to misunderstandings, shifting expectations, and unnecessary conflict between freelancers and employers.

4: Biased reviews

Your ratings can be affected by things totally outside your control, a late response from the client, misaligned expectations, or even personal bias. 

One bad review can impact your ability to land future work.

5: High platform fees

Freelance platforms take a big chunk of your earnings in service and transaction fees.

You do the work, they take 10-30%.

That is not sustainable and certainly not fair to you.
