thinking about twitter, something i've always found a little strange is that no one (until quit recently) built a feature-for-feature competitor for twitter. yes, facebook and other social media platforms were its competition. but, no one built a product offering the limited character texts as its main feature and tried to eat twitter's lunch. i wonder why.
