The crypto space lately has been firing back at coinbase for sponsoring the Trump military parade. While some of the criticisms were valid and constructive, most of the criticism was just baseless. We all claim we want to "bring the world onchain" but most of us don't really understand the gravity of that word, the idea in many of our minds are far from reality, what does it actually mean to bring the world onchain. Bringing the world onchain means powering humans day to day activities with crypto, it's making crypto not just an alternative to fiat but the best and most optimal options for day to day activities, we can go on and on about the sweet part. The part no one wants to talk about is the fact that the world we're bring onchain at best consists of 50% good people and 50% bad people, one could even argue the bad is over 50%, bringing the world onchain means bringing everyone we like or hate onchain regardless of out thoughts towards them.

The parade sponsorship is just a litmus test that shows that many don't realise how deep tradfi has gone, and besting would take far deeper acts than sponsoring parades. Even with oversight, tradfi legit powers the majority of the regional wars. Imagine a world where crypto is the base economy, decentralized, and with little oversight. What is our expectation of that world? Is it a world you'd want you and your children to live in? MAYBE ITS TIME WE RESTRATEGIZE AND REALIZE WHAT WE'RE ASKING OF?

I mean I wouldn't expect anything less than seeing coinbase logos on the military boots stomping my head in. Then my last thought that enters my head can be pride that crypto has finally achieved mainstream adoption.
