For my three mini apps I chose to do Framedl, Kiwi News, and Scratch. I love world, so I was excited to try framdl. I thought maybe there would be some sort of twist, but it’s the exact same thing. I still enjoyed it, I’m just surprised that they were able to copy the exact same game and out a different name on it. Maybe there’s more to it that I’m missing… I also tried Kiwi News which I think looks similar to X. I knew it was a news site but it took me an embarrassing amount of time to realize that if I wanted to read an article I needed to tap on the “post” which was actually a link to the article itself. I would blame that on me not being the most tech savvy rather than something being wrong with the setup of the app though. I checked out an article about a $2,000,000 audit contest posted by Etherum Protocol Security Research Team which was pretty interesting.

For those of you who are more tech minded than I am I would definitely recommend checking that out! The final app I did was Scratch which I thought was pretty cool. I’ve only done any sort of scratch ticket once and it was for my 18th birthday, but winning the crypto currency each time I played, even if it was only small amounts, makes me understand why people might find it addicting. I won small portions of coins, but I liked “Cody” the most because it had a cute little smiley face as it’s icon. Overall, I would definitely recommend all three apps I tried out.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XE3L3ja8_dg I came into this class with @nounishprof knowing absolutely nothing about crypto, so please forgive me if my insights into this base camp live stream are a bit elementary. 1.My first insight is that I had no idea just how globalized crypto was. In class we learned about it reaching various parts of Europe or South America, but it honestly never occurred to me that there would be 44 countries represented at Base Camp or that a keynote speaker would be from somewhere in Southeast Asia (Malaysia). Even before seeing this clip I knew my professor had said how it was growing in popularity worldwide and becoming increasingly more mainstream, but I still just couldn’t wrap my head around crypto not being a niche little bubble. Typing that out I realize that probably sounds pretty naive, but I cannot emphasize how little I knew about crypto before this course. Even while typing this out I had to google whether “crypto”…

should be capitalized or not- Google AI was inconclusive. 2.My second insight was how inspiring it is to see people who care so passionately about building something for the good of so many people. From this 8 week course it has become incredibly evident that there is opportunity for financial gain, so to see people who could so easily leave their huge portion of the crypto world centralized, believe in this mission so passionately that they’re staying committed to their original mission of decentralizing is incredibly inspiring! I also think it’s so cool that part of how they’re doing that is by partnering with @solana .
