Mistakes after mistake after mistake and there are many - personal and professional. Work is where he finds meaning. Yet, not redemption, nor clarity. Just description. It didn't cheer me up - or break my heart. It is sharp, strange and unique. And yes, he in part invented what we now think of as downtown NYC. "Restaurant design begins and ends with lighting"
