Won’t the sediment runoff eventually settle on the ocean floor? Thus clearing up the photic zone? This assumes that runoff is diminished or stopped.

I’m guessing this study used an average over time!! I think the sediment runoff does, but maybe not as quickly as you might think?? Also, we’re a very industralized society? So I’m just going to assume… there’s a lot of runoff :/ good thinking!!
