Value capture, disruptive leverage, open source as a business strategy is better understood especially because you can still rug and go close source at any point i.e. Google with Android

so the bet is if it is easier to build agents, more agents will be built and LLM usage will increase in general? how is this capturing any value?

Llama's play of becoming the LLM platform that everyone trains off of is an example of this. Another one would be Claude desktop becoming the de facto MCP client for a lot of people. Goal is always to dominate power law distribution and moat with network effects via proprietary extensions
