Ackchyually, you wouldn’t hard land on Jupiter, you’d sink into an increasingly denser atmospheric soup thanks to the 2.5 g gravity pull, until you’d reach a temp of ~4,000 K and a pressure of 1M ATM about 1,000 km below the cloud tops. You’d be nearly crushed and then vaporized. Still a pretty cool way to go

I love this comment and thinking about scenarios like this. I spent a whole evening a few months ago watching YT videos on what would happen if you could hypothetically fall to different planets. Obviously it ends poorly every time, but Jupiter is one of the worst!
