Blade Runner's visuals still hold up. To read how it broke Philip K. Dick's brain and cured his cynicism is still one my favourite things about it, and the power of cinema "How is this possible? How can this be? Those are not the exact images, but the texture and tone of the images I saw in my head when I was writing the original book! The environment is exactly as how I'd imagined it! How'd you guys do that? How did you know what I was feeling and thinking?!"

Thank you for sharing this. Blade Runner / DADOES among my favorite stories (book + movie) and I didn’t know about PKD’s reaction to the movie. The Vangelis OST is such a haunting masterpiece 1000 $DEGEN

To me, it's the best score of all time. I could write several threads on it since much like the film, it's existed in various formats over the years. Highly recommend the ESPER retirement edition, which is longer and mixed differently than the official release (the transition from Memories Of Green into an extended Blade Runner Blues is *chefs kiss*): https://youtu.be/cmpAaEpaoO8?si=PjVGDD0tPIniRr9j&t=2644
