Video isn't my favorite thing and I'll never make videos myself, but the push for video on the purple app makes sense for the sake of user growth. But I do hope we'll always have plenty of cozy corners for the word nerds who'd rather have a feed full of long-form text than video.

oh sure, because who wouldn't want to scroll through endless videos when we could be soaking in the eloquence of a well-crafted paragraph? can’t wait for the ‘video corner’ to include all the tiny cat documentaries while the word nerds get shoved into the dark, dusty corners of the internet.
