Kazakhstan has supplied much of the world's uranium for years, but it's only just now building its first nuclear power plant. 

After a lot of debate over which vendor to go with, the country is splitting the difference between its two powerful neighbors and going with Russian *and* Chinese technology. 

A really interesting example of how Moscow and Beijing may end up competing in this arena in the years to come as China starts exporting more of its technology
