There is CADC by a company called Paytrie. They are listed as a partner of circle. I haven’t used it, but i think there has been some adoption. Our currency is currently pretty weak and USDC goes further online. But I would consider it if adoption grows and our currency rebounds a bit. I am just trying to understand why citizens of G7 nations like Canada or Europe seemingly prefer USDC over their native currency onchain. I understand USD Stablecoin liquidity is high. I just have the uncanny luck of being an American so it’s a default to me

Yeah for me its mostly the value of the currency. CAD used to be at/above parity with USD and has been consistently dropping over the past 15 years. We typically lose money on the conversion from CAD to USD. Holding USD also means you win on the conversion back to CAD when you need to cash out.
