The first generation of document verification proved a file existed. Useful.... but a timestamped fake is still a fake. Attestum proves authorship. Who created it, when, and will they stake their verified identity on it. That binding is sealed on @base permanently via @eas. Our genesis attestation, the first record ever sealed on the platform, is this idea itself, sealed on-chain the day we deployed. attestum.io

The average reference check takes 30-60 minutes. Phone tag, voicemail, scheduling, the actual call, writing up notes. Multiply that by 3 references per candidate, 10 candidates per role. That's potentially 30 hours of a recruiter's time on a single hire — just on references. And after all that, you get an unrecorded phone call with no proof it ever happened. There has to be a better way.
